Nikko pedestal cake stand in the popular Happy Holidays Pattern that features a Victorian Christmas tree with garlands, candles, ornaments, and colorful presents including a teddy bear. Stars hover around the tree and sprigs of green holly and red berries sit inside a green-trimmed rim (also echoed on the base).
The slightly scalloped, slightly octagonal, round cake stand is 11” with height of 4 1/8”. Crafted in Japan from 1982 – 2014, it is in good condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, staining, or crazing. However, there are several small utensil marks on the platter that can be seen when the light is just so and felt when running a fingernail over them (see last two photos for examples). Aside from that it would be difficult to find any other signs of use.
This lovely piece is reported to be oven, dishwasher, and microwave safe. It would make a wonderful addition to a Happy Holidays collection or could mix nicely with one of Nikko’s other holiday patterns (e.g., Christmastime)
